The Barn Owl Centre, Netheridge – Come Fly with Me

To take disused argicultural land and buildings currently in a dilapidated state and bring the whole site back into use. To promote the rehabilitation, education and conservation for all native species of owls and birds of prey. Situated in the Westgate ward of Gloucester the project will boost the local economy by providing education, learning skills and jobs as well as activities / events for the local community and other visitors. The project will include work on building aviaries, an indoor flight run, auditorium for education, visitors’ centre, rehabilitation area for injured birds, cafeteria, free information centre to incorporate exhibition of local artist’s work, landscaping of area to encourage local flora and fauna, energy efficiency and pumping station to pump direct to main sewers.
