The Bike Works – Cafe Meeting Area

Part of a larger project which will see the reorganisation of internal space at the Bike Works to create a community café area near the front entrance of the building. This will involve removing internal pre-fabricated walls to make the best use of the area. The kitchenette will be enlarged and modernised as will the toilet facilities. These amenities have not been modernised since the 1960s when the building was constructed. Volunteers from the Men’s-shed will undertake work that doesn’t require a tradesperson. Funding will be pay for works undertaken by the plumber and electrician along with materials for the volunteer element of the project. Tables/chairs/café equipment are already owned.
