Projects / The Bucklebury Watermill Restoration Project

The Bucklebury Watermill Restoration Project

There are two principal aims: 1. the conservation and restoration to full working order of a small ancient grist mill on the River Pang in Berkshire, utilising most of the original woodwork and machinery and 2. the provision thereby of an important teaching aid for surrounding schools, colleges and academic bodies in history, agricultural practices, mechanics and rural sociology. In addition we shall engage the services of a number of local volunteers and enthusiasts and preserve a valuable and unique historical entity for on-going involvement and participation within the Parish and beyond for the foreseeable future.
