The Bury Biodiversity Project

The Bury is a 4.1 hectare greenspace in Rickmansworth, the site was once part of the Bury House Grounds and holds a lot of local history. The Bury provides not only a refuge to wildlife within the town but also the opportunity for residents to spend time in nature and engage with the natural world.

This project aims to understand and preserve the history, enhance the river channel, sustainably manage the woodland, create a safe and accessible space all year round offering another off-road route to commute round the town, and engage the public with nature.
