The Cardiff Story Museum

Cardiff is the only major UK city without a museum to conserve its heritage and ecelebrate its identity. A new Museum – The Cardiff Story – will provide a free-access heritage attraction and lifelong learning venue. The museum will fulfil many roles – acting as a community museum, centre for formal education and also act as a gateway venue for visitors introducing them to the city. The museum will open in two phases – phase 1 is due to open in Spring 2011 – this application relates to phase 2 works which will include a second permanent display gallery, a temporary exhibition gallery and a cafe.
