The Carrs Nature Reserve, Mansfield – Play and Outdoor Fitness Equipment (006293)

To regenerate and maintain the biodiversity of the Carrs. To encourage the local community and schools to partake in activities in the great outdoors including re-planting and maintenance, education, walking, exercise and play to promote and improve health and wellbeing for all ages and to encourage community cohesion.

The project will give free access to fitness equipment in a non threatening environment where the whole family can partake in recreational facilities at the same time. This will improve the general fitness and hence health of the community. It will also act as a social venue where the community and families can come together, engendering community cohesion. The improvements include pathways for walkers.
