The Cherry Orchard Nursery Access Project

The project is to open up a nature conservation area for public access where there is none, but at the same time maintain the sensitive wildlife interest in the site. The project plan is to install a disabled access footpath, an interpretation panel to enhance the visitor experience, litter bin and rustic field gate for emergency and works access, disabled access gate into the contiguous park and fencing. Funding is also sought provide an ecologist to be present on site to provide a watching brief during path construction to ensure protection of a protected species.
LCF funding will contribute towards a 206 metre long by 2 metres wide3 fully disabled access path.
