The Creation of a Carbon Garden at Royal Botanic Gardens Kew

The creation of a carbon garden as a visitor attraction in the wider Kew Gardens, creating four zoned areas portraying the world as we know it where carbon can be found; a barren stony landscape presenting striking contrast; natures way of sequesting carbon; and an area exploring the actions visitors can take to support the environment. A striking pavilion structure will stand 6m high to provide shelter, seating and shade and will include a central rail harvesting funnel to provide irrigation of the site. The area will include interpretation. The area will host educational workshops for school visitors and community groups throughout the year alongside science festivals, stakeholder events, Community Open Week etc
