The Crouch Oak, Addlestone

This project seeks funding to install protective fencing around the Crouch Oak tree in Addlestone.
The Crouch Oak is approximately 1000 years old and an important part of the town’s heritage. The tree was recently subject to an arson attack and although no permanent damage was sustained members of the community are keen to implement measures to protect and preserve the tree.

Work will include –
Installation of bowtop fencing to enclose the grassed area surrounding the tree
Provison of an information plaque giving a brief history of the tree
Improvements to surrounding soil
Installation of mesh on open trunk services.
