The Dairy at Blaise Castle House Museum

The project will restore the Blaise Castle House Museum Grade II* Dairy, which is integral to the history of Blaise House and the parkland of the surrounding Blaise Estate. A total re-thatch, including replacing the lead flashing around the chimney and repairing the lime mortar work, is urgently needed. Designed by Regency architect John Nash, it was completed in 1804 as a fully functioning dairy for Blaise House, the Harford family home. Original features, including the milk room with tin glazed tile floor, are at risk due to the leaking thatched roof.
