The Danny River Project – Friends Of Fox Park

The river Frome in Bristol was historically known as the ‘Danny’ River. In this project, an active local group – Friends of Fox Park – sets out to enliven a stretch of the Frome River Corridor through a set of improvements including new planting, seating, contextual art and habitat support.

This section of the river is a strategic pedestrian and cycle link between the City Centre/Broadmead zone and the outlying areas of Easton, Stapleton Road and the outlying areas of Easton, Stapleton Road and Eastville Park. This section of the river corridor has suffered from insensitive engineering works and community safety concerns; however this latter situation is now beginning to change for the better.
