The Dell Makeover

The Dell is a small, former quarry site amid dense housing in Norwich. It has a flat,light open central area next to the road entrance and rises steeply from this in a wooded hill. It is unmanaged, overgrown with sycamore saplings,brambles etc and is being abused. Community consultation resulted in this project to maintain the natural feel, but enhance the site with bulb and woodland flowers , grasses, bat and bird boxes made by local children,clear paths, remove sycamore seedlings and create a play sculpture and seating for carers.Volunteers will be involved
