The Edge Theatre and Arts Centre, Manchester – Access Improvements (7207)

The Edge is an award-winning theatre and community centre providing arts activities which help people, many from hard to reach groups, to explore their potential, learn new skills, make friends and improve mental health and well-being. The centre is based in a Victorian building which was a former Sunday School building in Church grounds, with facilities spread over two floors. This project will upgrade fire safety measures, open up the entrance space creating a welcoming foyer, and install a lift. These improvements will improve access and make better use of space, particularly in light of social distancing requirements, meaning more people will be able to participate in more activities.
