The Forfar Botanists Garden

The Friends of Forfar Botanists objectives are to celebrate and publicise the work of the Forfar Botanists, namely George Don and his sons George and David and the Drummond Brothers, James and Thomas. The project is the creation of a garden on a vacant piece of waste ground within the town centre. 2014 is the 250th anniversary of the birth of George Don Senior and the bi centenary of his death. The garden will feature many of the plants associated with these botonists and inform residents and visitors of the huge contribution they made to the world of botany, thereby keeping their memory alive.
