The Great West Window Project

The exposed position of the Cathedral means that the west windows experience significant water penetration. The problems caused are:-
Failed glazing cement
Rusting steel reinforcement in the lead cames causing cracking in the glass and splitting to the cames
Failed pointing around the glazing and to the stonework joints to the jams, mullions and transoms
Edge lead cames not tucking enough into the masonry grooves.
