The Haven (Forth)

To build a new Haven Centre in the village of Forth, serving the population of Forth and surrounding rural areas. The centre will address the specific challenges faced by rural populations in terms of access to appropriate local support services.

The centre will be a community resource, with information hub, meeting room and community garden available for use by groups, organisations and members of the local communities.

The centre will provide information and emotional support to people who are affected by a wide range of life limiting conditions. Nurse information and support, complementary therapies and counselling will be provided.

The centre will also be a hub from which a Haven @ Home service will be delivered – taking these same services directly to people within their own homes.

The need for this project is because of the success of the original (Project 135) – due to demand and unable to acquire further space to expand.
