The Hope Centre, Aintree – Refurbishment Stage 2 (5983/D)

The project is Stage 2 modifications of the building to provide a Drop in Centre and Café/Meeting place for the community. It is based upon a needs study, community consultation and recent comparative health surveys which identified areas of high deprivation and health inequalities. Key elements are:
Cafe area and Community meeting place with a relaxed and welcoming setting for all ages
Toilets, disabled toilets and baby changing facilities
Small bookstall/gift area- Improved access and entrance area/reception and storage
Reception area and store/office- Particular engagement with the elderly and disadvantaged
Meeting place for clients of the Alzheimer’s Society, MS Society and Stroke Association building on connections already made.
Cafe Church for young people
Activities to aid health & well being
Classes for healthy eating.
Service offerings will seek to reach people from areas of high deprivation which we already support.

The Trust grant is a contribution towards the centre refurbishment.
