The Logan Conservatory Project

In response to a number of key needs and local demand, we plan to develop a new public ‘Conservatory’ building at Logan, which aims to provide an all weather facility designed to be educational, innovative and sustainable. This building will provide a new central access point to the Garden and indoor space for expanded programmes of education, visitor engagement and community participation, promoting themes of energy creation, climate change and the conservation of flora and fauna. It will integrate new renewable energy sources, including a wind turbine and ground source heat pumps, and display a new South African plant collection to the public to help promote the global conservation of species.
