The Meadows Nature Walk and Path Improvements – Appley Bridge

To enhance the Meadows for the community this project will see the installation of a footpath to create a nature walk, including covered seating area. Creating this space will see people stay local for activities/days out meaning less car journeys out of the village which all of those help the environment. In addition its an opportunity for new and existing residents of all ages to come together to enjoy the space. During lock down the Meadows was an area in which the community could escape their homes, meet friends in a safe outdoor environment. Footfall remains high in the Meadows and this project will give the community an activity they can enjoy together, to bond over and to support mental health. Additional works in the future will see the installation of a Bear Hunt style walk for families to enjoy as and when funds allow.
