The Momentum Theatre

The theatre will form part of a new dance centre which will house professional dance companies Northern Ballet Theatre and Phoenix Dance Theatre, alongside students of dance from beginners up to pre-professional and degree-level. The theatre will be an accessible resource which enables people in Leeds to see low cost or free professional dance performances and will provide the city with a new venue which will host a range of visiting performing arts organisations. The theatre will be equipped to a professional standard to provide a base for training in technical theatre skills, and will be a great asset to the local community groups who will be able to use the theatre during the 30 weeks of the year when the two companies are on tour, and those taking part in education projects with NBT and Phoenix.
