The Mountsorrel Railway Project - Station Platform at Bond Lane, Mountsorrel

The overall aim of this project is to reinstate part of the route of the former Mountsorrel Granite Companys Railway which runs from teh outskirts of the village to the junction with the preserved Great Central Railway at the southern end of Swithland Reservoir, a total of 1.2 miles. This element of the overall project is to fund a platform / passenger facility at the Mountsorrel end of the line. A halt will be built at Bond Lane including limited parking and disabled access.
