The New Marlowe Theatre, Canterbury

The existing Marlowe Theatre building was converted from the shell of a 1930’s Odeon Cinema which has deteriorated & is no longer fit for purpose. The cost of £13 – £14 million to refurbish this theatre means the money would be better invested in a new one. The new theatre will provide new amenities for the general public such as a second performance auditorium enabling community education & outreach work & a new riverside walk
