The Old Palace Roof

The Old Palace is a grade 2* listed building built in 1865 originally as the Abbots lodging. It now forms the main senior school building of the King’s School and is on the List of Gloucester’s historic buildings and open to the public on Heritage Days. The roof is constructed of two tones of Welsh slate and is now in need of major repair and restoration in order to preserve this historic buildilng in tact for future generations. Phase 1 will entail repairs and restoration of the eastern elevation.
