The Pollinator Project Willow and Wetland Management

The Pollinator Project was established in 2016 to create a wildflower meadow from an over grazed field. The meadow is located in an area where species rich hay meadows are rare habitats. Invasive Goat willow has encroached the established meadow and needs to be controlled. The existing wetland will also be increased in size with additional aquatic planting. The meadow attracts 19 species of recorded butterflies along with song birds, hares, voles and shrews.
