The Replacement of Dedham Lock Gates, River Stour, Dedham, Essex, The River Stour Trust Limited

The project is to replace the four wooden gates at Dedham Lock on the River Stour. These gates were originally fitted by the Trust in 1992, which allowed the lock to be used by the public, the local community, visitors from round the world, and by the Trust’s trip boats. However, by 2014 the gates had deteriorated and were deemed to be unsafe and passage through them ceased. Replacing them will allow the lock to be used again.
