The Restoration of Shibdon Meadow

The aim of the project is to purchase and restore Shibdon Meadow will safeguard a unique remnant of wetland meadow (4.8ha) in urban Gateshead for future generations to enjoy.The meadow is an important site of wetland birds and floristically very rich. The meadow will also offer local residents the opportunity to enjoy an important nature reserve close to their homes.
