The Scout Hut, Elton – Grounds Improvements (7180)

The project is to transform the available area around the hut by enclosing it within secure fencing, levelling the ground to create a hard standing play area, sensory garden, allotment, axe and saw section, camping area, fire pit with seating. In addition, the existing damaged container will be replaced by a refurbished 40ft insulated container for storage. The improvements will benefit the growing numbers of scouts and provide a safe environment for learning through fun.The improved site will also be attractive to other groups in the area and be available as a venue for them. It is also hoped the improvements will curtail the currently increasing anti social behaviour in the immediate vicinity.
