The Shire Brook Valley Nature Reserve, Woodhouse - Visitor improvements (007131)

This project will deliver much needed improvements to the nature reserve itself, transforming it into an inviting destination for visitors from a range of user groups and backgrounds. The project will: 1. Improve access: routes and pathways; seating; facilities and a large accessible pond dipping platform. 2. Enhance biodiversity: new wildflower meadows; tree planting; glades; tree coppicing and bug hotels/ hibernacula. 3. Make the area more welcoming: entrance works; attractive fencing; opening up vistas; providing information to visitors - new interpretation and a notice board. 4 Offer opportunities: through volunteering and training
