The Silence Heritage Site

The Silence Heritage Site is a 4.5ha area of scrub, woodland and grassland on the south facing slope of Hucklow Edge and within its location are the old leadmine workings of Old Grove and Silence mines. This project is to deliver enhanced access through the provision of duck boards, drainage and hardcore surfaces in particularly wet areas and enhanced management of the BAP grasslands and associated species by facilitating irregular cattle grazing through the provision fo appropraite boundaries and gateways.
