The Stanley Hollis V.C. Memorial

To erect a memorial to a Victoria Cross holder, Stanley Hollis and commemorate other medal holders from the World Wars and D-Day Landing. Commission of a statue and D-Day war scenes is to be sited opposite the war museum and become part of a worldwide heritage trail for D-Day monuments (currently only 1 in the UK at Portsmouth, others are in France, America etc. Surrounding the statue will be a communal garden with seating and a walkway for members of the public to relax and enjoy the environment whilst paying homage to past veterans.
