The Stondon BMX Track

The planned Stondon BMX track is the result of consultation with local residents and will provide much needed local facilities for young people. The project will make use of a largely unused grassed area at the centre of the village.
The campaign to build the BMX track is lead by Stondon Recreation Association (SRA) which is a body of local volunteers who maintain and develop the public spaces in the village. The SRA has been established in the village for some years, taking responsibility for 2 other public spaces, the village website and regular events for the community.

This new BMX track will also directly impact on the quality of life of the whole community by providing positive outdoor activities for the youngsters who currently have to travel to facilities elsewhere. This will reduce the number of car journeys and improve the lives of the parents and families who live locally, contributing positively to a vibrant and sustainable village community.
