The Suffolk Punch Trust – Education & Heritage Centre

The Suffolk Punch heavy horse is the world’s rarest breed of horse, and has Category 1 Rare Breed status. With only 20 breeding stallions left, the breed is at risk of extinction. The Stud at Hollesley Bay has 2 stallions. The project involves replacing the asbestos roof of the stables which is in a poor state of repair and installing viewing platforms to enable children and people with mobility problems to safely view the horses.
