The Vench – MUGA

The Vench is a much-loved adventure playground and community centre in Lockleaze, Bristol. For over 45 years, we’ve been inspiring imaginative play in a supportive and fun environment to help young people live happy and healthy lives. Council cuts and more competition for grants means the site, and in particular the Multi Use Games Area (MUGA), is in need of investment so we can serve disadvantaged families now and in future.

This funding would allow us to resurface the not-fit-for-purpose MUGA, replacing it with a high durability surface, to enhance sports access for recreation, wellbeing and to continue to attract young people to the site. In addition, we will install a water bottle filling station, so that sporting groups have easy access to water, making the pitch more appealing for booking.
