The Viking Centre, Wirral – Heating Improvements (50052/D)

The project aim is to improve and develop a small cafe space for residents. The centre is open most days and is well attended. However over the winter it has become apparent that our current heating system is failing badly which has impacted on our ability to provide a comfortable space for our local community, in particular older people. Once the proposed new cafe space and luncheon club opens it will require consistent building temperatures. This also applies to our parents and tots sessions where small children cannot be placed within rooms that are below the recommended legal temperatures. Funding is required to purchase and install a reliable replacement central heating system and cost/energy efficient heaters for the sports hall in order to improve facilities for local people.

The Trust grant will contribute towards the heating improvements.
