The Walled Garden Gateway, Museum in the Park, Stroud

The Walled Garden in Stratford Park (part of the seventeenth century Clothiers House, now the Museum in the Park) has been hidden from the public for over 50 years.
The Friends of Stroud District (Cowle) Museum want to open this resource to the 49,500 people who visit the Museum annually. The Walled Garden will be an extension of everything dynamic and exciting about the Museum programme, building on the mission statement ‘Inspiring people to explore the past, understand the present and imagine the future’.
This bid is for capital to create a gateway to the garden from the Museum reception.
