The Walled Garden Project – the Entrance Way

Behind the Museum is a derelict, unused walled garden which has neven been open to the public. The Friends of the Museum in conjunction with its officers plan to renovate and open this space for public use. This project will see excavation (the garden lies 2 metres above the reception area), and construction of wide accessible stairs, a lift and pathway. The pathway will lead to a multi-use learning space (Project Approval Number: 615106.1), and the entire garden and all its new attractions and features (new orchard, performance space). Entrance to the Garden will be open to all and will match the Museum’s current opening hours.
