The Ways Forward

The project aims to work with 16 – 25 year olds to enhance the existing provision and usage of the Lune Valley Ramble footpath and the Wyre Way. Currently both are heavily impacted by Himalayan Balsam and litter. As a result they are environmentally unsound, underused and views of the rivers are completely obscured. This project aims to restore these ways whilst at the same time increasing engagement with young adults, giving them valuable work experience and awareness of the importance of our rivers and public access to them.
