The Wesley Centre, Bridgend - Redevelopment (40064/D)

The church building is already an important, shared community resource and our project would redevelop the premises in order to meet the needs of current user groups and to encourage a range of future activities. The key feature of the scheme is the provision of additional rooms on a new first floor, resulting in a centre that will provide a flexible building that offers the maximum choice and opportunities for participation in a broad range of activities and events. With support from the Heritage Lottery Fund, important architectural features of the building will be conserved and people will be helped to learn about the extensive industrial heritage of Tondu. The Trust grant is a contribution towards the electrical works.
