The West End Methodist Church Centre and Cafe, Stoke-on-Trent – Refurbishment (50069/D)

The project aims to convert a large, spacious pub, which is presently in a state of disrepair, into a community centre, a neighbourhood cafe (which will open daily) and multi-purpose meeting rooms for identified urgent local needs from where specialist services can be offered. The West End Centre is a two storey building in a prominent position on a main road with good access. The ground floor will provide a multi-purpose area, cafe, kitchen, toilets and storage. The first floor will provide a function room, meeting room, office, kitchen, accessible toilet, shower room and storage. The Centre will offer local people much needed space for community needs in a warm hospitable environment with other agencies interested in helping us to deliver vital services each day and every day. The building is large enough for creative events like arts, music and dance. The projec is in a deprived area of Stoke on Trent.

The Trust grant will contribute towards the refurbishment.
