To improve and extend high quality chalk grassland habitat at Fleam Dyke Nature Reserve. After decades of neglect and lack of grazing it will take 15 – 20 years to reverse scrub encroachment on the Dyke. This first phase of work funded by LCF will focus on the best remnant grassland on Mutlow Hill and on the top and upper slopes of the bank. Contractors will clear scrub on Mutlow Hill and on both sides of the footpath along the Dyke, and install fences and gates to facilitate conservation grazing.
