The Wonders of Woods and Water, Walsall Council in partnership with Friends of Fibbersley Nature Reserve

This is a project to reclaim and restore some of Walsall’s finest wetlands through thinning of self-set trees and removal of invasive aquatic vegetation, to improve and repair pathways and a boardwalk’s around the reserve and increase access routes between key areas of the reserve. The outcomes of this project will be to enhance the existing habitats to support the nature reserve’s population of great crested newts; improve walking routes for the local community users, which in turn will enable increased visits, increased promotion of the site and its natural environmental, health and wellbeing elements.
