Theatre Renovation

The Royalty Theatre Sunderland has been running since 1925, we have a long successful history of producing amateur plays which are accessible to everyone. We currently have over 300 members. After many years use the theatre building is in need of major refurbishment, renovation and upgraded facilities. We plan to modernise the main parts of the building which are accessed by audiences.
Which include:
• renovation and redesign of the front of the building
• refurbishment of the communal areas inside of the building
• improve access facilities for disabled and elderly users
• installation of a new central heating system in the main auditorium, bar and foyer.
• Renovation and redesign of the main auditorium
• Installation of improved sound equipment.
