Things Change at The Point, Doncaster

The Point is an innovative, successful community arts building at the heart of Doncaster. With purpose-designed workshop spaces, the building has been the catalyst for an extensive programme of participatory arts since 1998. Extended in 2007 to include a Gallery and additional workshop space, the building is still not large and we need to make every area work as hard as possible.Although our user numbers have grown during the fourteen years that The Point has been open, some of their needs have changed and valuable areas of the building have become tired and underused. Constraints in the original budgets meant that we were unable to achieve everything we set out to do, particularly with regard to equipping the Gallery and adapting the Gallery Garden for community use.
