Thirlmere Road, Chesterfield – Play Space Refurbishment

To replace a worn out and dated play area with a new modern play space with play equipment for use by all age groups and children with disabilities. Thirlmere Road Park is the only green space with a play area within easy reach of local young people which is vital for their health and wellbeing.

The existing play area is over 20 years old and is becoming unsafe due to its age. Its is becoming increasing difficult to maintain as parts are now obsolete. The play area serves an area of high density housing in the top 30% most deprived communities. The site acts as a community park.
