Thorner Parish Centre Roof

Thorner Parish Centre is a former school building built in 1851. It has been very well used over the years for a wide range of activities but the roof is now in urgent need of refurbishment to allow it to continue to meet the needs of the community. Severe weather conditions have caused timber to rot, slates to crack and fall, and lead and gutters to leak into the interior of the building. A lack of insulation also means that heat loss is significant and there are problems with condensation.

The project involves the complete re-roofing and insulation of the centre to match that of the new extension, to ensure the building is safe, warm and comfortable for all users for many years to come.
