Thorverton Cricket Club – Net Improvements

The regeneration of existing cricket net facilities. The astro surface is in poor condition having never been professionally repaired since installation resulting in poor standard and safety. Netting also is old and worn and needs replacing to ensure acceptable quality and safety. Replacement astro surface and associated works (resurfacing the base layers etc.) and new netting. Anti vermin skirts and mesh sight screens for the netting
1) Viability of the Club -we have a number of clubs in the area with Premier standard facilities. We need to ensure we compete with these to retain members and young players especially, particularly in the current climate.
2) Safety- the nets need to be secure, not slippery and generally safe to use
