Thorverton, Recreation Ground – Refurbishment

Thorverton Recreation Ground is an open space for the use of village residents, surrounding villages, and visitors which currently sites a childrens play park and football pitch. The play equipment is in need of updating and residents have requested, through the Parish Plan, that adult exercise equipment be incorporated within the ‘re-fresh’ together with a wild life corner for both educational and relaxation purposes. The table tennis table will add an extra dimension for all ages and the intention would be to form a table tennis club possibly playing in the Exeter and District league. Our research shows only two other villages have a table tennis facility which are only operated once a week in an evening.
