Thrive & Kicking

Improve the landscape, built and social environment in Battersea Park, London and for the surrounding communities through:
* erection of a ‘Victorian’ park kiosk and creation of a garden centre to sell plants propagated and grown by unemployed disabled people attending Thrive’s Battersea Garden project. Plants will be sold to the public and over the longer term to park maintenance contractor
* the project aims to : enhance amenities in Battersea Park and reflect its heritage; create employment and training opportunities for disabled Londoners; provide learning and work experience opportunities for schools and colleges; offer affordable plants for people living in some of London’s most deprived communities; improve the environmental and social sustainability of the plants used within the park.
