Tiptree Heath re-surfacing of car park

Removal of existing limestone based car park, laying of geotextile membrane and resurfacing car park with crushed and rolled granite chippings. The present limestone surfacing is leaching into the acid soil of the heathland and affecting the acidity of the soil. Granite is clearly non-toxic with no adverse effects and is the material recommended by English Nature. The contractors were recommended by Essex Wildlife Trust
