To provide a new skate park in Micklefield Recreational Ground

To create a multi-user all-in-one engineered concrete skate park facility for in-line skaters, skateboarders and BMX bikers, together with the construction of a 3m wide bitmac footpath within the grassed amenity area to connect the Skate Park to the adjacent car parking area; installation of suitable boundary treatment, plus tree and vegetation management, to protect the new facility from the Public Bridleway adjoining the site to the north; and to erect 3m high fencing behind the nearby football goal to limit the incidence of footballs flying onto the skate park facility.
